The series "Applause at the Museum" continues with a new theater event at the San Bartolomeo Iron Museum.
On Friday, June 12, 2026, at 8:30 PM, the performance "Book date: Stories of Work, Faces of Readers" will take place, staged by Centopercento Teatro in collaboration with MUSIL - Museum of Industry and Labor of Brescia and with the patronage of the Municipality of Brescia.
The idea of a "Book Date" transforms reading from a solitary act into an immersive and visceral experience. It's no longer about turning pages, but about looking into the eyes of someone else's destiny.
There are no stages, there's no velvet curtain separating those who watch from those who are watched. There are only chairs, placed facing each other, like a blind date with the unknown.
The project aims to deconstruct the distance between the abstract concept of "work" and lived reality. The audience does not merely watch a performance but participates in an exchange: sitting opposite a character means confronting the sense of duty, ambition, exploitation, or personal fulfillment.
The event will take place at the "Lodovico Giordani" Iron Museum, in via del Manestro n.107 in the San Bartolomeo district, Brescia.
The museum will open its doors half an hour before the show begins.
The show is suitable for families, with children aged 12 and up.
Full price 8.00 €, reduced 6.00 €.
