Also this year, MUSIL, in collaboration with the Schilpario Ethnographic Museum, organizes an event for the recurrence of Saint Barbara, patron saint of miners. In 2026, two stories of mining and emigration will take center stage, told by Maria Luisa Garberi and Cristina Grassi (Schilpario Mine and Ethnographic Museum).
These words will be accompanied by images and artifacts, but also by songs related to the world of mines: thanks to folksinger and researcher Michele Dal Lago, we will also move between Italy and America in this case.
The event will see the participation of some primary and secondary school classes from the area, but it is open to everyone.
The initiative, which will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Valle Camonica Hydroelectric Energy Museum (in via Roma n.48 in Cedegolo), is organized with the patronage of the Municipality of Cedegolo and in collaboration with Associazione Casa Panzerini and Rebel (Lombard Ethnographic Museums and Heritage Network).
