Autumn 2026 at the San Bartolomeo Iron Museum

The MUSIL - San Bartolomeo Iron Museum is pleased to present the full program of events for Autumn 2026, a calendar rich in cultural and recreational appointments designed for an audience of all ages.

The program includes guided tours, study days, theater shows, concerts, literary-themed escape rooms, and meetings dedicated to prominent authors. The events will take place at the San Bartolomeo Iron Museum, located in Via del Manestro n.107, San Bartolomeo District, 25136 Brescia, offering an immersive experience of history, literature, and entertainment.

September 2026

  • September 6, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM: Guided tours of the museum by MUSIL volunteer guides.

  • September 11, from 8:45 PM to 10:00 PM: Robert Musil's Vienna. An evening dedicated to the great Austrian writer Robert Musil, with a historical introduction by Prof. Micaela Latini (University of Ferrara) and readings by actor Rosario Tedesco.
    Tickets: full 6.00 €, reduced 4.00 €.
     
  • September 12, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM: Study Day: Parallel Writings. Robert Musil and his colleagues. Third edition of the Musil at MUSIL format, focusing on the relationship between Robert Musil and some great writers and philosophers of the early twentieth century.
    Free admission.
     
  • September 13, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM: The Spring Cook. A show by Centopercento Teatro, in which a clumsy cook and a special friend guide adults and children to discover seasonal products through whimsical stories and recipes.

  • September 18, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Escape room at the museum. The museum rooms host a playful immersion in 20th-century American literature, organized by Abibook social cooperative onlus.

  • September 18, from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM: American Scribblers 1. Flannery O’Connor: A Good Man Is Hard. First stage of a three-part journey into 20th-century American narrative. It begins in the American South of the 1950s, amidst sharp irony and moral tension, with roots, blues, and gospel sounds. With Debora Zuin (actress) and Michele Dal Lago (guitar and vocals).
       
  • September 19, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Escape room at the museum. The museum rooms host a playful immersion in 20th-century American literature, organized by Abibook social cooperative onlus.

  • September 22, from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM: Works. Homage to Vitaliano Trevisan. The extraordinary working autobiography of Vitaliano Trevisan, one of the leading Italian writers of the 21st century, which recounts the deep Northeast through a lifetime of occupations. With readings by Fulvio Falzarano and prepared drums by Roberto Dani.

  • September 26, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Urban Trekking in San Bartolomeo: from ancient wheels to murals. Guided tour of San Bartolomeo starting from the Iron Museum: the wheels, the lazaretto, the history of the Giuliano-Dalmatian exiles, the murals, and the prominent figures of the neighborhood. Organized by Guida Artistica - Federica Martinelli.

  • October 9, from 8:45 PM to 10:30 PM: Novel of Formations. Football meets literature. Episode of the podcast curated by Gino Cervi (writer and journalist) and Federico Frascherelli (director): interacting with the authors and the audience, the surprise guest will be called upon to field their favorite team of writers.

  • October 10, from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM: The Love that Moves. A show of theater, music, and ramblings on the Divine Comedy, organized by Centopercento Teatro.

  • October 15, from 8:45 PM to 10:00 PM: A Hare with a Child's Face: Laura Conti in Seveso. An event dedicated to Laura Conti, a doctor, politician, and one of the founders of Italian scientific environmentalism, who experienced the Seveso disaster firsthand and reworked this experience into a novel of rare sensibility. With readings by Teatro Caverna.

  • October 17, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM: Conference: Seveso 50 years later. Dangerous and polluting industries: what is the status of prevention and remediation. The conference traces the history and legacy of the Seveso disaster of July 10, 1976, delving into the state of prevention and remediation in Italy. Organized by the Center for Environmental History – Fondazione Micheletti.
    Free admission.
     
  • October 24, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM: American Scribblers 2. Scott Fitzgerald: The Ice Palace. Second stage of the journey into 20th-century American narrative with a story contrasting South and North in the brilliant writing of the Jazz Age, with the music that made 1920s America famous. With Debora Zuin (actress) and Michele Dal Lago (guitar and vocals).

  • October 31, from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM: Halloween at the museum with Thrilling Voices. An activity for adults and children where short scenes from cartoons and films without audio are re-dubbed by participants, ensuring fun with free and imaginative interpretations.
