The musil – "Lodovico Giordani" Iron Museum presents a calendar of evening events, a concert, an urban walk, and a weekend of screenings dedicated to historical animation for the month of September. The initiatives take place at its headquarters in the San Bartolomeo District, at Via del Manestro 107, in Brescia.

On Friday, May 9, 2025, at 8:30 PM, at the Iron Museum (in Via del Manestro n.107 in the San Bartolomeo district in Brescia), there will be a screening of the film "Islands of Stories in Liquid Memories".

The film traces the history of water sites in the Mompiano and Costalunga areas: the mills, the old washhouses, the paper mill, and the lost hammer mill of Mompiano.

Starting from May 1st, 2025, ironworking, a distinctive feature of the local identity, finds its exhibition space in the city: the “Lodovico Giordani” Iron Museum of San Bartolomeo permanently reopens its doors. 

The museum is located in a forge with an attached iron tool grinding workshop, repurposed for museum use by Fondazione Civiltà Bresciana since the mid-1980s. Granted on loan to Fondazione MUSIL, the spaces now host a historical reconstruction in dialogue with the present: from [...]
